MEET THE TEAM
Anamcara, "soul friend"
“Yoga is a practice of sensation, not a practice of accomplishments.”
-Hollon

“I look for moments of stillness and flow rather than grind and hustle in my day.”
-Brian

Brian Jones
500 RYT, MA, Founder, Prananata Vinyasa LLC

Brian is the founder of the Anamcara yogic experience; a legacy that unites his commitment to growth and connection. Yoga has been a significant part of Brian’s life since 2008, leading him to complete his 200- and 300-hour Vinyasa Teacher Trainings at the Nexus Institute in Costa Rica.
Brian says his practice has evolved over the years—becoming part of his life rather than just an activity in his life. His daily practice consists of a vinyasa-style asana in addition to daily readings, pranayama, meditation and learning from his fellow teachers and students. Yoga has helped him become more self-curious than self-judgmental, and he loves watching the unique evolution of each yogi—that moment when someone’s eyes and heart light up with an “aha!” moment.
When he’s not teaching yoga, you can find Brian looking for moments of stillness—enjoying time with friends, taking a jog, playing the guitar, or listening to Shakespeare (he’s a total literary dork).

Hollon Beasley
200 RYT, Asana Leader, Movement Artist, Creative Director, Cinematographer

Hollon’s yogic journey began in 2015 as a quest to embrace, love, and heal her body. The following year, she completed her 200-hour Teacher Training in Hawaii. While the yoga community was a departure from her upbringing, she knew instantly that she’d found her people—loving, accepting, and free. For the first time in her life, she felt connected to herself. Hollon says, “There aren’t enough words to describe the feeling of letting go and breathing for the first time.”
For Hollon, yoga has evolved into a calling to help others connect with the same feelings of presence and empowerment that changed her life. She will be your biggest hype-girl! Her daily practice combines asana, meditation, pranayama, and dance; and, her greatest joy is seeing others realize that they can do absolutely anything that they keep showing up for.
When she’s not teaching yoga, you can find Hollon feeling all her feels (she never shies away from whatever comes up!), designing beautiful spaces, snuggling her kitty, Tina, and taking dance classes.

Q&A with the teacher:
Describe your teaching style in 3 words or less?
Deep, spontaneous, sensual
Describe the Anamcara experience in 3 words or less?
Connection, surrender, FUN
You're writing your memoir; what's the title?
Yes you can.
Best advice for someone beginning their yogic journey?
Yoga is a practice of sensation not a practice of accomplishments. Stay on your mat. Do not compare your journey to someone else’s; everything is relative. All you have to do is keep showing up and the yoga will always do the rest—one breath at a time.
